For Green Marine, it was a case of first, second and third with the yachts they’ve been involved with each claiming a podium position in this edition of the Vendee Globe. Throughout the race, leading duo Armel le Cléac’h (Banque Populaire VIII) and Alex Thomson (Hugo Boss) have battled for pole position and entered the final 1000nm of the race with just 72nm between the pair. Victory was to be Armel's however, completing his circumnavigation in 74 days, 3 hours, 35 minutes and 46 seconds.
30m GALATEIA has made the finalists for Best Naval Architecture (sailing yachts) in the ShowBoats Design Awards, presented by Boat International. Congratulations to all involved at Green Marine, Reichel Puch and Wally.
Alex Thomson has commenced the 2016 Vendee Globe in his Hugo Boss IMOCA 60, constructed by Green Marine. The boat was completed in summer 2015 and is a VPLP-Verdier design fitted with the latest generation foil designs.

The 100ft / 30m WallyCento Hamilton, launched last summer by Green Marine, has won a coveted Neptune award at the 2013 World Superyacht Awards held earlier this week by Boat International Media in Istanbul.
Marcel Müller, the managing director of leading composite boat builder Green Marine, last Friday collected the award for best sailing yacht (25?40m) on behalf of the 100ft WallyCento Hamilton at the 2013 International Yacht & Aviation Awards.

10 March 2013 - GREEN MARINE CONGRATULATES TP52 RÁN IV ON ITS VICTORY AT THE GAASTRA 52 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Just weeks after seeing two of its boats take first and second place in the Vendée Globe, leading composite yacht builder Green Marine is celebrating once again, this time at the success of Niklas Zennström and his Rán Racing team in their TP52 Rán IV at the Gaastra 52 World Championships.
Green Marine has been celebrating this week the success of MACIF and Banque Populaire at taking first and second place in the 2012-13 Vendée Globe.
The twenty strong fleet of the Vendée Globe 2012-13 single-handed round the world race got underway on November 10, with three of the IMOCA 60s taking part products from Green Marine. Over the coming weeks we will be rooting for Gamesa (Mike Golding), Macif (François Gabart) and Banque Populaire (Armel Le Cléac'h), all of whom are strong contenders for a podium finish.
The 100ft WallyCento Hamilton, built by Green Marine and launched in June 2012, has won the Sailing Yacht over 24-metres category in the third annual Nautical Design Awards organised by Yacht & Sail magazine and the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI) in Italy.
Green Marine Managing Director Marcel Müller will be speaking at the World Yacht Racing Forum and Yacht Racing Design & Technology Symposium, taking place in Gothenburg on the 11th -12th December. The judel/vrolijk IRC 60 Jethou built by Green Marine and launched in 2009 has continued her winning form following modifications at Hythe at the start of the year to the hull and bowsprit, most recently at the 2012 Les Voiles de St. Tropez. Two firsts plus a second and a third were enough to put her in first place among the 29 boat fleet after the weeks racing.
Green Marine, one of the worlds leading builders of lightweight, composite racing and super yachts, has announced that it has a ground-breaking 78-foot (24-metre) catamaran currently in build at its facility in Hythe, England. Designed by renowned multihull naval architect Nigel Irens and designated the APC (Advanced Premium Catamaran) 78, she will be the first of a new breed of catamaran that bridges the current gulf between stripped-out racing boats and sedate, heavyweight cruisers. The launch date is set for mid-2014.

Sarissa convinced the judges with her race destined sailing performance and elegant, efficient lines. Tripp Design took full benefit of Green Marine's experience in building light weight Grand Prix Racing yachts. Sarissa is sporting a light weight and super stiff carbon fibre hull, constructed by Green Marine in high spec pre-preg materials with Honeycomb core. Large vertical square port lights are embedded into the hull as an aesthetic statement of a modern design solution for a family friendly, liveable Superyacht. Vitters Shipyard followed the brief of light weight construction during fit out and interior installation and delivered an exquisite yacht at the highest level of craftsmanship.

The first 100ft (30.48m) Wally Cento hull was completed and released from its female mould at Green Marine this week. The black hull was turned upside down and moved into one of the four recently commissioned 38m long build ovens at Green Marines new facility in Hythe (UK). This impressive looking yacht hull (Judel Vrolijk design) was built to a very high specification exclusively using materials and processes that are typically applied for Grand Prix racing yachts.
The complete carbon composite hull and superstructure including the rudder for Sarissa was built at Green Marine in Southampton. The hull and deck were produced in a female mould and laminated in pre-preg carbon composite. The hull was launched in July 2010 and delivered to Vitters Shipyard in Holland and completed in 11 months.

The local composite boat builder Green Marine is set to bring together its two current facilities - its head office and production factory based in Lymington and its facilities in Spitfire Quay, Southampton and move to new premises in Hythe Marine Business Park in Southampton. The carbon composite hull of Bill Tripp’s latest Superyacht design was towed across the harbour in Southampton UK today. At present the composite work is complete, but the accommodation areas are empty of joinery, machinery and systems. Without the keel, and with the hull, deck and primary structure weighing just 19,000kg, she is floating very high on her lines. Next week she travels by ship to Holland for a 12 month fit-out at Vitters Shipyard.
