25 July 2012 - Wally Cento Hamilton wins the Superyacht Cup Cowes 2012
The brand new 100ft Wally Cento Hamilton won the first Superyacht Cup Cowes regatta after just five days of sailing since her launching.
Hamilton won two out of the three races in glorious sunshine as superyacht owners had a real taste of Solent conditions with strong tides and variable light thermal breezes from 8 to 10 knots.
Built at Green Marine the 33.5m Judel Vrolijk design Hamilton is the first of a new 100ft box rule developed by Wally to create a class where owners can compete on near one design, equal terms. The second Wallycento, Magic Carpet, designed by Reichel Pugh is due to be completed at the end of 2012.
